Little Rock police investigate overnight homicide

An investigation is underway after police discovered an adult male dead from gunshot wounds on West 24th Street in Little Rock.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock police responded to a reported shooting in the 4200 block of West 24th Street shortly after midnight on Feb. 21 and found 63-year-old Nicky Lamar dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, shortly after officers arrived at the scene, a second man, who was also suffering from gunshot wounds, arrived at UAMS and later died.

The identity of the second victim won't be revealed until the next of kin is notified and an autopsy is complete.

The Little Rock Police Department said the incident isn't a double homicide, but they believe the shootings to be related.
