Little Rock police make third arrest in drive-by shooting of 7-year-old

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock Police Department have arrested a third person they believe is connected to a drive-by shooting that injured a 7-year-old on June 27.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock Police Department have arrested a third person they believe is connected to a drive-by shooting that injured a 7-year-old on June 27.

Police arrested 18-year-old Cavorontre Green Wednesday morning after an arrest warrant was issued for him.

On Thursday, June 30, police arrested 21-year-old Dagon Coleman. Then on Tuesday, 20-year-old Nykian Raines was arrested.

Coleman, Green, and Raines have been charged with 1st degree battery, a terroristic act, and an unlawful discharge of a firearm.

According to police, the child was playing in the front yard of a home near the corner of 12th and Washington streets when he was shot in the arm. They believe the intended target may have been on the hill just beyond where the child was shot.

The boy was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
