LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- According to Pam Smith with the Little Rock School District, a student was struck by a vehicle near an elementary school Friday morning.
Smith said a middle school student was struck while crossing a street near McDermott Elementary School to load a bus. The incident did not happen on school property.
According to the collision report, the victim suffered a collapsed lung and other non-life threatening injuries.
The report states that the victim did not use the crosswalk that was marked.
