Little Rock Zoo's GloWild festival returns to Little Rock

One of the most exciting events of the year has returned to the Little Rock Zoo. The annual GloWild festival is set to open on Thursday, November 16.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — One of the most exciting events of the year has returned! More than 40 handpainted and masterfully created silk lanterns will be placed across the 33-acre campus of the Little Rock Zoo.

From mystical creatures to the mighty jungle, and even larger-than-light-bugs guests will be taken to another world to discover the wonders of light.

The annual GloWild festival is set to open on Thursday, November 16, and continues on select nights between 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. through January 7, 2024.

“We are so excited to bring GloWild back to Central Arkansas for a third year,” said Zoo Director Susan Altrui. “We know that Central Arkansas welcomes an elevated winter holiday experience, and we know this fits the bill. From magical lanterns to mystical music and sounds that transport visitors to other worlds, we know this lantern event will continue to be one of the premier holiday destinations in the state."

Over 30,000 guests attended the event last year, which made it one of the largest events in the zoo's history.

The zoo also announced that this year they will be having special themed nights which include a sensory night, and a GloWild New Year's Eve party.

They will also be offering discounted tickets for families of four, as well as plenty of food, fun, and adult beverages.
