LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said on Wednesday that the city bridges will light up purple and gold in honor of the late NBA legend during the player's memorial service.

"As soon as Kobe B. Bryant and Gianna Bryant’s Memorial is scheduled, we will light our bridges in purple and gold to commemorate their lives," the mayor tweeted.

The memorial has not been scheduled yet, according to reports, but is currently being planned.

Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died Sunday in a helicopter crash in California with seven others.
