NEW BLAINE, Ark. — A fire in eastern Logan County that was put out by crews on Oct. 10 has reignited a day later.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) shared on Facebook that the fire is in the New Blaine area.

LCSO said that there are multiple crews working to put out the fire, including area fire departments, the Arkansas Forestry Commission, and the U.S. Forest Service.

The Russellville Fire Department shared that it was helping fill the forestry division's aircraft that are being used to fight the fire, with each aircraft carrying around 700 gallons of water.

Logan County Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, and LCSO are also on the scene.

The sheriff's office reminded residents that the area is under a burn ban amid drought conditions.

"It is so dry outside and we are under a burn ban. Please observe the burn ban and do not burn anything. Our firefighters in eastern Logan County are working hard out in this heat to keep our citizens safe and we appreciate their efforts," LCSO said.

Additionally, LCSO said crews are working a house fire in south Logan County.
