LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Each week, we feature a pet up for adoption at the Little Rock Animal Village.
On Friday, Betsy Robb from Friends of the Animal Village joined THV11 This Morning with two six-week-old puppies named Darla and Dudley.
The puppies were left in a box outside the Little Rock Animal Village with five other siblings when they were less than a week old. Since they were taken away from their mother so early, these two are the only ones who survived.
The Little Rock Animal Village is always in need of fosters for various reasons. Unlike most foster programs, fostering for the Little Rock Animal Village is never an open-ended commitment with no definite end date.
Time commitments range from just a few days to up to three months for dogs receiving treatment through the FAV Heartworm Fund. Most dogs need fosters for just 2-4 weeks. With the exception of very young puppies and kittens who need to be bottle fed, fostering is not only fun but very easy.
If you have extra space in your home for a temporary furry friend, the LRAV would love to let you babysit one for a little while. For questions and to learn more about how to get involved, call 470-222-3879 or send Friends of the Animal Village an email at FriendsoftheAnimalVillage@gmail.com.
