LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to our partners at Arkansas Business, the community can expect to see a few changes at Little Rock's annual Main Street Food Truck Festival this year.
The festival will be moving to a new location on and rebranding as the Downtown Food Truck Festival.
This year, the popular event will be held on September 22 on Capitol Avenue between Woodlane and Chester streets near the front of the state capitol.
According to Gabe Holmstrom, the executive director of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, the decision came as part of an effort to try to revitalize and promote businesses in the area.
Since the event first started, it's brought restaurants, shops, and community events to the Main Street corridor— and now the city hopes to bring that same success to Capitol Ave.
The festival typically attracts between 60 to 90 food trucks, along with other vendors, artists, musicians, and more. This year, roughly 120 trucks have expressed interest in registering for the event.
There will be room for about 70 trucks and applications can be found here.
