LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The attorney representing Bryan Malinowski's family will testify before the full House Judiciary Committee on May 22.
Malinowski, who served as the director at the Clinton National Airport, was fatally shot during an ATF raid as agents served a warrant on March 19.
Bud Cummins, representing the widow of Malinowski, is working to find out why exactly ATF raided Malinowski's home. The ATF was executing a search warrant as part of an investigation into the alleged illegal selling of guns.
An affidavit stated Malinowski bought more than 150 guns in three years; some of those guns turned up later in six separate crime scenes.
Meanwhile, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney Will Jones is reviewing the case to determine if any charges need to be filed against the ATF agents and how much information can be released to the public.
Cummins will speak before the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government at 10 a.m. on May 22, and the chairman of the ATF is set to appear on May 23.
