MENA, Ark. (KTHV) - An affidavit submitted by an Arkansas State Police agent has revealed that 37-year-old Brian Travis admitted to the murder of four people in Polk County.

According to the affidavit, Travis confessed to the murders of two children, their mother Bethany Wester, and her uncle Steven Payne on Saturday, April 29. The confession came a day after the body of 2-year-old Acelynn Wester was found on Polk County Road 31 in Cove.

During the interview, Travis offered to show police the location of 9-year-old Reilly Scarbrough's body, which was located in the woods in Hatfield.

All evidence found at the crime scenes indicated that the four deaths were homicides.

Those who live nearby say Wester and her children moved back home to Mena a few months ago to be closer to family.

Travis is being held without bond. He has been charged with four counts of capital murder.
