LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 8, 2018) – THV11 News Director Dave Parker has announced that Meteorologist Tracy Beene will return to the THV11 weather team in March.
Beene, a Maumelle, Ark. native, will appear regularly on the Saturday edition of “THV11 This Morning,” and serve on the THV11 weather team alongside Chief Meteorologist Ed Buckner, Mariel Ruiz, Raven Richard, and Nathan Scott.
With more than 20 years of experience, Beene served as meteorologist in the United States Air Force, developing aviation flight path and base forecasts and presenting severe storm safety information and daily weather briefings to the base commander.
Parker said, “THV11 is very fortunate to have someone with Tracy’s weather experience and knowledge of Arkansas joining our team. We are happy to see her back on the air very soon!”
In addition to her time in the U.S. Air Force, Beene worked at THV11 between 2010 and 2012, and later as fill-in meteorologist at KARK and Fox16.
She said, “My love of weather and connection to the community has always been strong. It has always been a dream to be part of a morning show where I can interact and connect with our viewers. Whether it be sharing information for a beautiful day or being trusted to keep viewers safe during the storm; it is all very personal to me. I am so excited to be back home at THV11, working with the greatest weather team in the state.”
Married to her sweetheart J.D. for 23 years, Beene is very family-focused. She is mom to five: Taylor, Jake, Lauren, Addie, and Nora Kate. In her spare time, she adores being involved in her kids’ activities and being an advocate for families dealing with Trisomy 18, a disorder that impacts one in every 2,000 pregnancies in the U.S.
