LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update-- The AMBER Alert has been inactivated.
Officials in Little Rock are on high alert as an AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 11-month-old child.
A phone alert was issued around 9:45 a.m. that Khamari Key, an 11-month-old Black girl was missing out of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Police say that the child is with 22-year-old Grover Key, who is the father of Khamari.
Officials say the father was involved in a physical domestic dispute with Khamari's mother in a car, which caused the mother to exit the car. Grover Key would then leave the scene "attempting to strike the child's mother and hit an innocent bystander."
The car has been found, but both Grover and Khamari are still missing. The car was found near the 1800 block of South Spring Street.
Grover Key is around 5'9" and was last seen wearing grey or black pants with a True Religion jacket and a red hat with "Mea Culpa" written on it.
The initial alert directed anyone who received it to check local news, but police did not share any information before the alert was sent. Officials would then send information around 10:10 a.m., nearly 30 minutes after the phone alert.
If you see either Khamari or Grover you are asked to contact the Little Rock Police Department at 501-371-4829.
