BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The Momentary announced they will offer 1,000 free John Legend concert tickets to first responders and those helping with Northwest Arkansas's disaster relief efforts.
Although the Momentary has canceled most of their events this week due to severe weather damage, they said the concert will proceed as scheduled.
"The show will provide a space to come together for a heartfelt performance, as well as an opportunity to assist with ongoing food insecurity, accelerated by the recent storms," Public Relations Manager Michelle Moore said.
In partnership with Cox Communications, the Momentary and Crystal Bridges said they are hoping to show a little gratitude to those who are helping Benton County's road to recovery by offering the free tickets.
They will be giving away the tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis to firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, 911 dispatchers, electrical and critical services workers.
To redeem tickets, call the Momentary Box Office at (479) 657-2335.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank Rogers free client-choice pantry was also hit by Sunday's storms. Due to the much-needed resources, the Momentary is partnering with the food bank to collect donations for those in the community experiencing food insecurity.
"Concertgoers are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items like canned tuna, chicken, vegetables, and fruit; whole grain cereal, spaghetti, and rice; dried beans; oatmeal; and peanut butter for donation," Moore said.
After the concert, they will keep donation bins at the Momentary and Crystal Bridges in the coming weeks to continue to collect donations for the NWA Food Bank. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
As a part of the Momentary's Live on the Green Concert Series, the EGOT-winning singer-songwriter John Legend is set to take the Coca-Cola Stage on Saturday at 8 p.m. Gates will open at 7 p.m.
For current ticketholders who are unable to attend the concert due to the recent storms, the Momentary asks you to contact its box office at (479) 657-2335.
