LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The names of those injured and killed in Sunday's train collision in Hoxie have been released.
Jeff DeGraff with Union Pacific said engineer Chance Gober of White Hall and conductor Broderick Hayes of McKinney, Texas were both killed while on the southbound train. They had left out of east St. Louis headed to North Little Rock.
Engineer Michael Zompakos of Maumelle and conductor Aaron Jeffery of Conway were injured while traveling on the northbound train. They had left North Little Rock and were headed to east St. Louis.
While what exactly was being transported on the trains has yet to be released, they were reportedly carrying household products and a type of alcohol. The toxic chemicals that were being carried were unharmed.
