CLINTON, Ark. (KTHV) -- The names of the two construction workers who were killed when a logging truck overturned Monday in Clinton have been released.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 40-year-old Ricardo Trochez of Atkins and 51-year-old Hubert Keith Moore of Chester were killed when a log truck lslammed into a bridge with 30 to 40 construction workers on it. More than 20 workers were injured.
According to the report, the truck was traveling south on U.S. Hwy 65 when a tire blew out on its left rear side, causing a load shift. The trailer overturned spilling logs onto the bridge and roadway.
ASP, along with Van Buren County sheriffs and Clinton police are investigating the accident. As of Monday evening, no citations had been issued.
