City of Little Rock approves multiple developments for 2024 | What to know

The City of Little Rock approved multiple developments that will bring improvements to community businesses like the Museum of Discovery.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The City of Little Rock approved multiple developments for 2024, according to the Board of Directors on Tuesday.

The city announced three "exciting" developments that are underway around Little Rock, beginning with new $375,000 ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funding that will help establish new exhibitions at the Museum of Discovery in downtown Little Rock.

The second of the three developments is $250,000 that will now be directed to the expansion of the Little Rock Tech Park. Located in the Creative Corridor on Main Street, the Little Rock Tech Park acts as hub for entrepreneurs and tech start-ups to experience innovation and growth.

The final of the three developments comes in the form of $220,000 that will be used to provide new lighting at the West Central Sports Complex. Through these light upgrades, the city will be able to reinforce safety and also provide optimal conditions for late night games at the complex.

According to the Board of Directors, these developments are scheduled for quarter 2 (Q2) of 2024.
