NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Police is investigating after responding to reports of a possible deceased person on Skyline Drive on October 24.
Upon arrival, officials made contact with 37-year-old Lance Martin of North Little Rock. Martin informed officers that he assaulted his mother inside the residence.
Officers located an adult female, later identified as 74-year-old Kathryn Martin of North Little Rock suffering from 'extensive visible injuries'. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where she later died.
Martin was taken into custody for questioning, where he admitted his involvement in his mother's death. He has been charged with capital murder.
