Shooting during aggravated robbery injures one in North Little Rock

The North Little Rock Police Department says one person was shot during an aggravated robbery at a restaurant off Camp Robinson Road Friday night.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: The NLRPD is searching for a suspect wanted in the shooting. He is described as being a Black male between 5'11" and 6'00" in height and weighing about 185 pounds. He also has a visible tattoo on the right side of his neck.

The North Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting during an aggravated robbery at the Waffle House off Camp Robinson Road.

Authorities said they arrived on the scene around 8:48 p.m. Friday after hearing a report that someone had been shot. Soon after arriving, officers said they "located a female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound."

North Little Rock police said the victim was transported to an area hospital for "treatment of life-threatening injuries."

Witnesses at the scene told officials that a man entered the restaurant with a handgun and started demanding money before shooting the victim.

Police have now stated that the victim was a Waffle House employee.
