NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A power outage has delayed the opening of the North Little Rock High School and an administration building for two hours, according to the school district.
The power outage happened on Tuesday morning and the school district posted on social media that the high school would have a two hour opening delay.
Classes will begin at the school and the Center of Excellence at 10:30 a.m. as well as the Central Office Administration Building opening around the same time.
In addition to the delays, the AP English Language and Composition exam will be rescheduled to May 23.
Power was restored in the area around 8:30 a.m. and other city duties resumed as normal. Around 1,300 houses were impacted by the outage until service was restored.
An outage map on North Little Rock Electric's website shows 53 currently without power near West 3rd Street by the Arkansas River.
