On Wednesday, the Seis Puentes Hispanic Outreach Center in North Little Rock celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of their new location.
A ceremony was held to unveil their new building located at 3207 MacArthur Drive to the local community.
The new location was strategically selected to be in the Levy neighborhood which has the highest percentage of Hispanic and immigrant populations in the city.
Seis Puentes offers adult education classes including basic computer skills, GED, WAGE, ESL classes, and job training all in partnership with the City of North Little Rock and the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.
"Over 10% of Pulaski County residents identify as Hispanic - a statistic that is similar across our nation. The Hispanic community represents the fastest-growing workforce demographic in North Little Rock. We are excited to continue and expand our support of the Hispanic community in North Little Rock and throughout Pulaski County. The new building will ensure we have adequate space and resources to achieve our goals," said Raúl Fernández, Seis Puentes' Executive Director.
The organization also offers art workshops, youth summer programs, informational seminars, and cultural exchange opportunities.
