HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Update: Oaklawn announced that the Southwest Stakes will be rescheduled to Feb. 3, and three-day race weekends will resume on Jan. 26, with first post at 12:30 p.m.
The Fifth Season Stakes will be run on Jan. 27.
Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs has announced that they will be canceling racing from Friday, January 19 through Sunday, January 21 due to continued freezing temperatures impacting the Natural State.
The decision came out of an abundance of caution for both the horses, as well as their riders.
Simulcast will be open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
