LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- One of the new faces of the Arkansas Travelers is in the running for a mascot contest.
Otey the Swamp Possum, one of two mascots for the Travs, is up for the best mascot in Minor League Baseball! Right now he's in the running for best of Texas League baseball. If he progresses past that round, he will be up for the championship round August 4.
Right now Otey is up against mascots like Hornsby of the Tulsa Drillers, Rocky RockHound of the Midland Rockhounds, and Sinker the Lake Creature of the NW Arkansas Naturals.
