LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Park Plaza Mall in Little Rock announced that they'll be providing local artists with affordable spaces to create, engage with the community, and promote and sell their work with the addition of Zero Empty Spaces in April.
The new space on the third floor of Park Plaza near H&M will serve as a creative hub for the community and accommodate up to 11 artists.
The month-to-month studio rental model allows artists to create in a dynamic studio environment, interact with other creators, and share their work. Various studio sizes are available, ranging from 85 to 288 square feet.
“We are proud to offer this exciting new space in the heart of Little Rock,” said Camilo Varela, Second Horizon Capital Managing Partner and Co-Founder. “Zero Empty Spaces provides a unique service connecting artists and the community and will serve as a new cultural destination for the region.”
Zero Empty Spaces also aims to meet a need for more working artist studios in the region.
“Park Plaza is a perfect location to further Zero Empty Spaces’ mission of fostering collaboration, creativity, and affordability,” said Andrew Martineau, Zero Empty Spaces Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “We are excited to contribute to Little Rock’s growing and thriving arts and cultural scene, and we look forward to providing this vibrant space that will become invaluable for the community"
An open house preview and information session will take place on Saturday, April 6 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for artists interested in renting space.
