PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Pine Bluff police have arrested a suspect after a shooting occurred on July 12 around 2 a.m.
According to reports, officers responded to reported gunshots near 23rd Ave. and Hazel St. Shortly after, officials received reports of a person having been shot at 23rd Ave. and Spruce St.
Upon arrival, they located an unresponsive male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as 30-year-old Jaelin Scott.
A witness stated that Scott and another male named Devantre Daniels were arguing. After Scott was shot, Daniels fled the scene in his vehicle.
Officers launched a search for Daniels and discovered his vehicle at a residence. He was taken into custody without incident and booked for first-degree murder.
