Pine Bluff police investigating fatal apartment complex shooting

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a deadly apartment complex shooting that happened on Monday.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a deadly apartment complex shooting that happened on Monday afternoon.

According to reports, at about 4:30 p.m. on November 4, Pine Bluff officers were called to the Suzanne Apartments on Blake Street with reports of a shooting that happened in the parking lot.

Once they arrived, officers found 22-year-old Taron Jerrell Dismuke on the ground. He was later pronounced deceased while at the scene.

The suspect, 22-year-old Leon Jermaine Johnson, turned himself in and was taken into custody at the W.C. Dub Brassell Detention Center. He faces a charge of first-degree murder, pending further investigation.
