Investigation underway after Pine Bluff car accident leaves two dead, one injured

The Pine Bluff Police Department is now investigating an accident where two people were tragically killed and one was left in critical condition.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department is now investigating an accident where two people were tragically killed and one was left in critical condition on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the 4100 block of HWY 65 South (near the Dollar General) with reports of a car accident where several people were ejected from a vehicle.

When officers arrived at the scene they saw three males lying in the road. Witnesses told officers that the three males were riding in a black pickup when it was hit by a vehicle that was leaving the Dollar General. They also said that the pickup flipped several times.

No information has been released regarding the driver of the vehicle who hit the truck.

Two of the men who were in the pick-up were taken to the hospital in critical condition and a third male died due to his injuries while still at the scene.

Pine Bluff police said on Thursday that one of the men later died at the hospital.
