A Pine Bluff woman has been charged after allegedly leaving her two three-month-old babies in a parked car while shopping at Dillard's.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — A Pine Bluff woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly leaving her two three-month-old babies in the car while shopping at Dillard's.

According to reports, police responded to a welfare check at 2901 Pines Mall Drive after receiving a call about babies left in a vehicle unattended.

Two witnesses stated that they parked next to a Ford Explorer and heard the babies crying in the vehicle while they got out of their car.

According to police, the car ignition was turned off, the windows were slightly open, and the children were in two car seats with blankets covering them.

An officer was eventually able to unlock the back left door and remove the crying babies from the vehicle.

After running the license plate, it came back under the name of Thomas or Tish Arnold.

Shortly after, Ms. Aiyana Arnold exited Dillard's and unlocked the Ford Explorer from a distance. After confirming that it was her vehicle, she was taken into custody for endangering the welfare of a minor.

The Arkansas Department of Human Services responded to the scene and determined that the babies would be released to Aiyana's father, Thomas Arnold.
