Pine Bluff residents reject 2 sales tax initiatives

For the second time this year, the City of Pine Bluff voted against a sales tax raise, which would've focused on safety, education, and economic development.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — For the second time this year, Pine Bluff residents voted against a sales tax raise, which consisted of two initiatives.

One sales tax initiative focused on public safety, while the other planned to tackle education and economic development.

Both initiatives were close with 56% and 53% voting against.
