PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a man just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
Police said they responded to reports of gunshots and found a 16-year-old boy with "apparent gunshot wounds" lying next to a vehicle on South Georgia at the intersection of East 25th Avenue.
According to authorities, the boy was driving the vehicle when he was "run partially off of the roadway after crossing Georgia Street."
The boy died at the scene.
Pine Bluff police said they will not release the victim's name due to his age.
