LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Police Department has arrested 24-year-old Harris Martin in connection to a shooting that took place on July 29, 2023.
According to reports, officials located 26-year-old Eligiah Lucas suffering from apparent gunshot wounds at 11724 Rainwood Road. The Pulaski County Coroner confirmed that he died at the scene.
Homicide detectives were notified, and the victim's body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Officers then spoke with Martin, who was on the scene and transported to Major Crimes for questioning. He provided a statement and was released without charges pending a file review.
On May 1, 2024. the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney's Office determined that the shooting was not justified. Martin was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter.
