NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: Police have identified the victim as 43-year-old Jason Smith of North Little Rock.
Officers with the North Little Rock Police Department responded to a home just after midnight on West 35th Street near I-40 and Camp Robinson Road.
Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male shot inside the home. He was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries overnight.
Homicide detectives have launched an investigation, but have not released the victim's name or any suspect information at this time.
