TEXARKANA, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police's Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is investigating a shooting that occurred in a parking lot in Nash Thompson Lane in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 26.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department requested their assistance after an officer fired their service weapon and struck a suspect while attempting to serve a federal warrant alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety.
During 27-year-old Henry Milligan's arrest for charges relating to narcotics, an officer shot him in the abdomen. He was transported to a hospital in Texas and is currently in stable condition.
According to reports, an investigative case file will be presented to the prosecuting attorney, who will determine whether the use of deadly force was consistent with Arkansas law.
