Police make arrest after shooting kills one person in Bryant

The Bryant Police Department has arrested a 25-year-old man in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Sunday.

BRYANT, Ark. — Update: 35-year-old Donshadrick Laron Boyd was taken into custody in Faulkner County by the US Marshall’s Task Force.

He is being charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting that occurred in Bryant. He has also been charged with residential burglary and endangering the welfare of a minor among other charges.

The Bryant Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, just after noon, officers received reports of a shooting that happened at an apartment on Roya Lane. 

Once they got to the scene, they found a male who appeared to have been shot multiple times. Officers quickly began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, however, the male was later pronounced dead.

No information about the victim's identity or any possible suspects has been released.
