Armed murder suspect wanted in Oklahoma last seen in Morrilton

Police are searching for a man seen in Morrilton with an active warrant for homicide out of Alabama and the suspect in three homicides in Oklahoma.

MORRILTON, Ark. — The Morrilton Police Department is working to locate a suspect connected to a double homicide that occurred in Oklahoma after receiving information from state police that he may be in the area.

According to reports, officials noticed a stolen vehicle connected to a crime in Oklahoma parked at a hotel in Morrilton. 

50-year-old Stacy Lee Drake of Birmingham, Alabama, was seen on video in the hotel's parking lot. The hotel was searched, but Drake was not located.

It is unknown at this time whether someone picked him up or he fled the area on foot. Arkansas State Police (ASP) believe Drake is still in the Morrilton area and is "known to have purchased camping gear." 

Drake has an active warrant out of Alabama, and he is suspected of two homicides in Oklahoma stemming from two separate carjackings.

He is also separately wanted on felony warrants from multiple jurisdictions, with charges including aggravated robbery, carjacking and murder. 

Drake is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’11” and weighs approximately 185 pounds. ASP said Drake's last known address was in Birmingham, Ala

He is believed to be armed with a handgun and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
