More than thirty people arrested after police operation in Crittenden County

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. — After an hours-long operation by Arkansas State Police, agents with the 2nd District Drug Task Force, West Memphis Police Department, and the Marion Police Department to target criminal activity in Crittenden County, police were able to make more than thirty arrests and seize several firearms.

On July 27, several agencies conducted an 11-hour-long operation where agents made about 637 officer/violator contacts which resulted in 37 arrests being made. Six felony warrants were served, 13 people were cited for DWIs, and 26 speeding tickets were issued.

“This is another great example of the relationship the Arkansas State Police has with our law enforcement partners and the commitment each of us shares in protecting the citizens of the State of Arkansas,” said Captain Philip Hydron, ASP Troop D Commander.

Arkansas State Police seized seven firearms including a fully automatic blackout AR rifle, and two other weapons that were reported as stolen.

Agents also seized several illegal drugs including methamphetamine and marijuana.
