LONDON, ARKANSAS, Ark. — On September 9, Arkansas State Police arrested a man illegally transporting over 500 pounds of marijuana and two pounds of mushrooms.
According to reports, troopers stopped a white 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van on I-40 in Pope County for a traffic violation.
A search of the vehicle revealed crates filled with multiple duffle bags containing 514 1-pound packages of marijuana and 2 pounds of Psilocybin mushrooms.
The driver was identified as 41-year-old Ismar Zubovic of Houston, Texas. He was charged with two felony counts of trafficking a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
Zubovic told officials he was traveling from California to New Jersey.
