SALINE COUNTY, Ark. — Beginning on Wednesday night, the Highway 70 ramp to I-30 west will be temporarily closed so that construction in Saline County to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes can continue.

The closure will be from 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 through 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25.

If weather permits, construction crews will close the ramp to move the barrier wall and traffic will be unable to use the ramp during the closer.

Drivers will need to follow the signed detours:

  • Highway 70 to I-30 west detour: Traffic will take the on-ramp to I-30 east, then take Exit 114 (Highway 67/229), and return to I-30 west

Traffic will be controlled with various construction barrels, barricades, message boards, and other signage. Drivers are advised to be cautious when in work zones and to watch for slower traffic speeds in the area.
