The Razorbacks have won the first game of the College World Series over the Oregon State Beavers and are now one game away from winning the championship.
The Hogs stayed in the game thanks to strong pitching by Blaine Knight, who had six strikeouts and only allowed one run in six innings in perhaps his final appearance as an Arkansas Razorback. He also broke the record for most wins in a season with his 14th win.
Barrett Loseke came in for a solid performance, striking out three and only allowing one run. Matt Cronin came in as relief and secured the win for the Hogs.
Oregon State's pitching was up and down throughout the night. Luke Heimlich and Christian Chamberlain gave up a combined seven walks in total to the Hogs, but managed to snag 16 strikeouts.
The second game of the College World Series will take place on Wednesday, June 27 and will air on ESPN at 6:00 p.m.
If necessary, a third game will be played on Thursday to determine the championship.
