LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The City of Little Rock Public Works Department announced that the reconstruction project on North Rodney Parham Road will be extended another week until Monday, July 1.
Unforeseen setbacks, including utility conflicts and recent inclement weather, have prevented construction activities from remaining on schedule.
Officials noted that depending on future weather conditions and the resolution of current utility conflicts, additional weeks may be added to the project.
During this time, the southbound lane of Rodney Parham Road between Valley Club Circle and Pleasant Valley Drive will be closed.
Motorists will be detoured to Valley Club Circle, continue south, and turn east on Pleasant Valley Drive to return to North Rodney Parham Road.
Those traveling northbound will continue to use the existing lane to allow crews to work on the west side of North Rodney Parham Road.
Once the west side is completed, northbound vehicles will detour to the future southbound lane of North Rodney Parham Road while crews move to work on the east side.
Anyone accessing Fairway Drive, Happy Valley Drive, Tahoe Lane, and nearby properties will be provided access to their homes from the south using the northbound lane.
