Registration now open for 2025 Little Rock Marathon

Officials announced that registration for the 2025 Little Rock Marathon and Run Local Race Series is open from now through September 11, 2024.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Officials announced that registration for the 2025 Little Rock Marathon and the 2025 Run Local Race Series is now open through September 11, 2024.

Registration for the full marathon is $95, with half marathon registration starting at $85. Prices for each of the weekend’s events will go up incrementally until they reach either full price or race capacity.

The Little Rock Marathon and the Little Rock Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, while the Little Rock 10K, the Little Rock 5K, and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon Final Mile will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

On Race Weekend, participants will start at 7:00 a.m. for races on both days, with the Marathon carrying a 5:00 am early start time.

Last year, many of the races started early to avoid high heat and humidity during the hottest part of the day. According to officials, the majority of athletes preferred this, leading the Race Committee to consider making it a permanent change.

“We’ve always been a race for every pace and every athlete, and warm temperatures like we were facing last year unfairly limits participation for some of those folks,” said Marathon Executive Director Geneva Lamm. “We want to make sure every athlete who pushes themselves to be on the course for any event on Race Weekend is comfortable and prepared to have the best experience possible, and the earlier start times give everyone that opportunity.”

Participation in the Run Local Race Series, a grassroots health initiative that promotes a healthy lifestyle, is limited to the first 400 people who register for three events, including:

  • Creep N’ Crawl (5k, Half Marathon) – Saturday, Oct. 19
  • Ugly Sweater (5k) – Saturday, Dec. 21
  • Little Rock Marathon weekend – Saturday, March 1 – Sunday, March 2, 2025

Lamm noted that those interested in participating in the series must register for all three events at the same time to be eligible to receive a special Run Local medal in March.

She added that registering for each event separately does not automatically enter you into the series.

“Every year we see such incredible determination, joy, and community spirit on display over Race Weekend,” Lamm said. “Whether this is your first race or your 20th time running Little Rock, we are excited to celebrate our shared love for running, for this event, and for this incredible city with every athlete participating in March.”

In a few weeks, the Rock Marathon’s Training Program will kick off with a new ‘Off the Couch’ initiative. The program, led by longtime Little Rock Marathon trainers Hobbit and Tom Singleton, is free and open to the public.
