NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – In North Little Rock, Rose City Day brought people out to School Street Park.
The area between Highway 70 and 165 has a proud history, and the neighborhood association enjoys putting that on display.
“Rose City Day was started about three years ago, and it's just the community coming together. This year it's extra special because it's the 70th anniversary of when Rose City was annexed into the city of North Little Rock,” explained Shirley Abel, a lifelong resident.
More community events are planned this week, including a focus-group with city leaders. Similar meetings have already led to parts of the neighborhood getting cleaned up.
