LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Three Razorback legends have officially been selected to join the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, it was announced on Sunday.
The University of Arkansas shared the news that Ryan Mallett, Peyton Hillis, and Jason Peters will all be members of the 2024 class.
Mallett became a household name in the heart's of countless Razorback fans during his time in Fayetteville, leading the team to a Liberty Bowl win in 2010, where he was named offensive MVP of the game.
He later went on to declare for the 2011 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the New England Patriots.
Earlier this year in June, Mallett tragically passed away in an unfortunate swimming accident in Florida. The Razorbacks paid tribute to the legendary QB by displaying his initials at the 15-yard line in tribute of his jersey number.
Peyton Hillis is another Razorback football player being inducted. He played high school football locally in Conway, where he racked up numerous awards during his senior year.
Hillis was selected in the 2008 NFL Draft, going on to play for the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Giants before retiring in 2015.
Hillis was even unveiled as the cover athlete for EA Sports Madden NFL 12 after winning a nationwide vote in 2011.
Last but not least, Jason Peters will also be joining the 2024 class. Peters played TE for the Razorbacks, despite being recruited as a DT.
Peters has seen plenty of success in the NFL as a RT and a LT, winning a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018. He has also been selected for the Pro-Bowl 7 times in his career, while being named an All-Pro 6 times.
Alongside the legendary Razorback trio, 7 other honorees will be recognized at the ceremony.
Among the 10 inductees, 5 are selected from the modern era category, while the remaining honorees are selected from the senior category.

- Glen Day, golf
- Jeff Glassbrenner, adaptive sports
- Al Flanigan, men's basketball
- Butch Gardner, men's basketball
- Ed Harris, golf
- Eric Jackson, horse racing
The upcoming Hall of Fame ceremony is set to take place Friday, April 19, 2024 as part of the organization's 65th annual induction banquet.
