SEARCY, Ark. — During a traffic stop in Searcy, on the morning of February 19, several agencies arrested two men who had several illegal drugs.
According to reports, the agencies involved in their arrests were the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force (CADTF), Searcy Police Department (SPD), SPD's Criminal Investigation Division, and the White County Sheriff's Department.
Searcy police explained that 23-year-old Cameron Riley Ward was in possession of multiple fentanyl-laced pills, several clonazepam pills, an adderall pill, money, and a long rifle.
31-year-old Jordan Kevin Cato was in possession of one fentanyl-laced pill.
The CADTF prepared a search warrant for the home of Ward and Cato on Booth Road in Searcy. When they searched the home they found the following items:
- 1273 pressed fentanyl pills
- 33 clonazepam pills
- 1 adderall pill
- Crushed ecstasy pills
- Psilocybin mushroom candy
- $2,459.00 in cash
- A Walther PPQ 9mm pistol
- A Marlin .22 250 rifle
Police arrested and charged Ward with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, trafficking fentanyl, possession with purpose to deliver (MDMA), possession of schedule IV with purpose, possession of schedule II (not meth) with purpose.
When he was arrested, Ward was already out on bond for an arrest in March 2023 where a search of his home was done and they found several fentanyl-laced pills and firearms. He was charged with multiple drug and firearm charges.
His current bond has been set at $350,000.
Cato was arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl, and his bond was set at $25,000.
