FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Big Chicken, a restaurant chain backed by professional basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, is opening soon in Fayetteville.

The restaurant is opening on 2190 MLK Boulevard. A soft opening will be held on Dec. 27 followed by a grand opening on Jan. 3.

“Big Chicken fuses O’Neal’s home-cooked childhood favorites with today’s trending flavors. From crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders to Cheez-It crusted mac n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes, each menu item tells a story,” the company’s website said.

The full menu can be found here.

The chain, founded in 2018, has since expanded, now being found in 15 states and aboard Carnival cruise ships.

The Fayetteville location is that state's first, but another one is already being planned. The company's website says that Arkansas will be getting its second location at 1120 Mathias Drive in Springdale in the near future.
