SHERIDAN, Ark. (KTHV) - A Sheridan woman has been arrested and charged with the death of an infant due to malnutrition.
According to the Sheridan Police Department, officers obtained enough evidence to issue a warrant for the arrest of Akela Bowman who is also known as Akela Shylo Gosa.
On Thursday, March 30 police arrested Bowman and charged her with murder in the first degree.
Bowman later posted bond. Police have not released her court date at this time.
