PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. — The summer season is almost upon us, and as children get out of school for summer vacation, the Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) is once again offering multi-day meal boxes for families in the county.
Not only is PCSSD offering free summer meals, but several other organizations, including the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) and the North Little Rock Public Library System (NLRPLS), are also offering meals.
There will be two pick-up locations for families with children who are 18 years old and younger where families will receive a five-day meal box.
One location will be at Mills University Studies High School which is located at 708 E. Dixon Road in Little Rock and the second location is at Cato Elementary located at 9906 Jacksonville-Cato Road in Sherwood.
Meal distribution will happen every Thursday beginning on June 6 through August 8 during the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or whenever food runs out.
There are no income requirements or registration necessary to receive meals.
CALS is offering free meals to kids and teens 18 years old and under through Be Mighty Little Rock. Several library branches will be providing meals, as well as various activities to help kids learn and stay active.
The NLRPLS is launching the Bridge 2 Success Food Program at both of their locations.
