WATCH: 18-wheeler carrying UT football equipment involved in wreck on I-30

According to THV11, the wreck occurred just after 6 a.m. on Sunday, causing both lanes of traffic to be blocked off for several hours.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An 18-wheeler carrying the University of Tennessee's football equipment was involved in an accident at the I-30/I-40 interchange according to THV11 in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

THV said the wreck occurred just after 6 a.m. on Sunday, causing both lanes of traffic to be blocked off for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage. A volunteer staff member said they were returning from Oklahoma after playing the Sooners when the truck carrying the equipment had a wreck with another vehicle, causing the 18-wheeler to crash into a retaining wall.

THV11 said there were no injuries and the truck was towed to another location so the equipment could be off-loaded onto another trailer.
