CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Conway Police Department have arrested three people who they believed are responsible for the death of 53-year-old Gary Phillips.
On the day before Thanksgiving, November 23, someone dropped Phillips off at the hospital. Phillips was suffering from a gunshot wound and would later die from the wound.
Police immediately began an investigation where they developed Johnny Reed, Jr. as a potential suspect. He turned himself after learning he was an alleged suspect. He now faces a capital murder charge over the death of Phillips.
Detectives also developed both Keenan Beacham and Vennessa Lyons as suspects. Beacham was arrested on Thursday, December 2 while Lyons was arrested on Friday morning. Both are being charged with capital murder but Lyons has also been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of minor.
Police are still considering it an open investigation.
