Two men killed in Hot Springs crash

Crash kills two men in Hot Springs. (Bryan Smoke, Arkansas Herald)

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Two men died Sunday morning when their car went out of control on Albert Pike Road. According to a the Hot Springs Police Department, Elbert Kemp of Malvern was driving a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse at a high rate of speed shortly after 6:00 a.m. Police say he lost control in a curve near the Bull Bayou bridge.

The car reportedly crossed both eastbound lanes, struck the sidewalk, and then hit an oncoming truck. After the collision, the car flipped over the guardrail and into Lake Hamilton. Kemp was ejected. A passenger, Devin Wilson of Hot Springs, was found inside the car. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the driver of the truck was taken to a Little Rock hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
