The University of Arkansas School of Law has been named as one of the top ten law schools in the country, coming in at the seventh best value school in the United States.

This marks the fifth straight year the law school has finished in the top ten list. The rankings were compiled by the National Jurist and preLaw magazines.

In its Fall 2017 issue, the National Jurist rank schools based on where students have "excellent chances of passing the bar and getting a legal job without taking on a ton of debt."

In a press release, the dean of the school, Stacy Leeds, said the school is committed to providing "excellent" legal education while also making sure they give attention to cost, bar passage, and getting jobs after school has ended.

"Our consistent rankings among the nation's 'Best Values in Legal Education' confirms that we're meeting these goals and performing well relative to our peer institutions," Leeds said.

Information for the annual study is collected from the American Bar Association as well as the U.S. News and World Report. That information is then used to rank schools based on percentage of graduates who pass the bar exam, employment rate after graduation, tuition, cost of living, and average debt load after graduation.
